The historic Davis Theater in Lincoln Square underwent a remarkable renovation that not only preserved but also enhanced the theater's original charm. The theater, originally built in 1918, now boasts three movie theaters with new seating, screens, and digital projectors. Additionally, the restoration included the addition of a state-of-the-art surround sound system and expanded restrooms. The ornate pilaster details of the theater were also restored to their original grandeur, adding a touch of elegance to the space.

The renovation did not stop at the theater's interior. The lobby now connects into neighboring storefront spaces, which house a lounge, restaurant, and bar. This addition has transformed the theater into a hub of entertainment and retail, making it a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. The renovation has breathed new life into the theater, making it a must-visit destination in the neighborhood.

The project's success and dedication to historic preservation were recognized in 2018 when it received the Landmarks Illinois Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Preservation Award for Rehabilitation. This award highlights the incredible work that went into the restoration and showcases the commitment to preserving historic landmarks in the city. The renovation of the Davis Theater is a testament to the power of historic preservation and the importance of maintaining the city's architectural heritage.
